Yuli Ziv: Prosperity and abundance is one of my favorite topics, and you have a very unique perspective on it. First of all, your business name, Watch Her Prosper, is incredible. Can you share a concise summary of the mission and philosophy behind your brand?

Ruchi Pinniger: It's to help people see prosperity in a different way, in a much broader way, and to live their most beautiful, prosperous lives.

Yuli Ziv: What does it entail for business owners, especially entrepreneurs? After all, our relationship with prosperity depends on where we are in life. It's perhaps easier when we have a stable career, job, and income. Even though our world is full of change and turmoil, there's still some level of consistency. But once we step on the entrepreneurial path, our relationship with prosperity changes. This is where we truly start building a relationship with prosperity, and where the challenges and blocks are thrown at us. How is it different for entrepreneurs?

Ruchi Pinniger: Prosperity is often defined as financial success, but I want to challenge people to think about it in a much broader way. Prosperity is about how you live in all aspects of your life, including your spirituality, health, physical environment, work, and relationships. When you focus on living your best self in all of these areas, prosperity flows in naturally.

We'll talk a lot about the financial side of prosperity today, but everything we discuss can be applied to other areas of life as well. As an entrepreneur, your relationship with prosperity is very different from when you have a regular paycheck. You're responsible for bringing in all the money and building your business from the ground up. I think of prosperity as a journey with multiple steps. The first step is to understand your relationship with money. If you don't have a clear understanding of your own money mindset, conversations about financial goals with others won't be productive.

Limiting Beliefs and the Money Mindset

Ruchi Pinniger: There are two states of being: disempowering and empowering. On a daily basis, you can have disempowering thoughts or empowering thoughts.

I started this business because I heard from so many amazing people with great skills, business ideas, and passion, but who said things like, "I'm so bad at the numbers," "It's so hard to run a business," and "There's never any clients." These are all disempowering thoughts.

When you're aware of your disempowering thoughts, you can interrupt them and choose new thoughts. For example, instead of saying, "It's so hard to find clients," you could say, "Clients are everywhere, and I attract the ideal clients." Instead of saying, "It's so hard to run a business, there's always so much to do," you could say, "There's always time to do everything." Instead of saying, "I'm so bad with money. I don't trust myself," you could say, "I love money for what it can do. Every day, I trust myself more and more." By choosing new thoughts, you can start to resolve your negative relationship with money.

Healing Relationship with Money Through Self-Reflection and Visions

Yuli Ziv: What else do you find as a common thread among spiritual entrepreneurs?

Ruchi Pinniger: Spiritual entrepreneurs and healers are also human. They have a background and a story, and many of us allow our old stories to stay with us, often subconsciously. 95-97% of how we show up in the world is subconscious, so it's important to ask ourselves what's going on with us and what's happened in our past that may be impacting our prosperity.

For example, I have a client who I've worked with for a long time. As we went deeper into money work, she started to feel very anxious and realized that she'd been carrying around a subconscious belief since she was a teenager, when her father said to her, "You'll never make it without my money."

She was 15 and didn't understand what he meant at the time, but it wasn't until she was 50 that she realized how this belief had impacted her whole life. She had always felt like she needed someone to come in and save her and take care of her.

Once she realized this, she was able to transform herself and start taking control of her money. During the pandemic, she had her best year ever because she finally found and released the block that had been holding her back.

Yuli Ziv: How do we uncover those blocks? What healing modality do we use to find them?

Ruchi Pinniger: A lot of times, it's about self-reflection. When you notice a theme or something going on, if you're making money and it's just being spent, I've created intentions and goals with many clients. Here's what we're going to bring in, how we'll raise our rates, and what we'll do to market. The money comes in, flows, and goes back out. When you start to see patterns in your behaviors, that's when you recognize them. Once recognized, that's how you heal them—making it safe in your body to hold and earn money.

Create your vision. Reflect on what you want to become, what you see for yourself when you close your eyes with no limitations. We're literally capable of doing anything we want to do. Thinking about prosperity as a journey and starting with those conversations and the relationship with your money is key.

Many entrepreneurs have stories of being bad at numbers and avoiding them, getting anxious. But looking at them and understanding what's coming in and out, how these impact your life, goals, and intentions, provides a sense of healing. As you do this work to heal your relationship with money and those underlying beliefs, you become more comfortable. Like anything, the more we do, the more it becomes second nature, more normalized in our brain.

Yuli Ziv: Normalizing some of those things or themes is a healthy exercise. I know many people who are incredibly abundant, but they feel like they waste money or spend too much. Like you've said, money flows in and flows out, and then they feel a lot of shame around that.

Changing Limiting Beliefs for Female Entrepreneurs

Yuli Ziv: This is a part that I myself personally challenged with my whole life. It's a story that I'm constantly trying to change, but the truth is, it's hard for female entrepreneurs to raise money. The statistics are clear: female founders receive only about 2-5% of all venture capital funding. So, it's not just my story, it's a fact. How do we change that?

Ruchi Pinniger: Only 2% of women entrepreneurs make over $1,000,000. 8% of them make under $100,000. That's why we're here doing this work.

Women have a very different relationship with money than men. We would rather talk about the details of our own death than talk about money.

Yuli Ziv: Where is the root of the problem and how can we actively start changing it?

Ruchi Pinniger: There are many emotions attached to money, including judgment and self-judgment. We see so many confident women in the media who seem to have it all together, but on the inside, they may be struggling with limiting beliefs and stories about money.

To heal your relationship with money, you must change your thoughts and beliefs. I work with my clients to dig deeper into their beliefs and create new ones. I give them homework, such as writing down and saying aloud a new belief every day. I also encourage them to visualize how it would feel to live in an abundant universe where it is safe to let money flow to them.

Another way to heal is through inner child healing. This involves going back to your younger self and having a conversation with them. You can tell your little girl or boy what they need to hear to heal from any past emotional wounds. We all have the tools within ourselves to heal, and inner child healing is a beautiful way to tap into that power.

Healing, Pricing, and Profitability for Healers

Yuli Ziv: There is often shame around the idea of healers charging for their services, for something that they have a gift for or a special skill, because they want to help as many people as possible and heal as many souls as possible. Of course, healing services are not always accessible for everyone, which is another reason why people may be hesitant to charge for their services.

Ruchi Pinniger: Many of us go into business and undercharge for our services, not because we don't value our services, but because we don't value ourselves. In the case of healers, they may feel that they have a gift to share with the world and want to help as many people as possible. This is all true, but if you're not charging for your services, you can't make as big of an impact. When you make more revenue, you can take care of yourself, which is important. You need to be able to pay your rent and mortgage, live, eat, and have time to heal. If you're not charging, you can't even do that.

By charging for your services, you're actually making a bigger impact. When you start a business, you want to be profitable. There's no shame in that. In fact, it's a beautiful thing. The more profitable you are, the more you can impact the world, give back, and do more.

It's important for business owners, healers, and entrepreneurs to plan their cash flow and align their businesses with their personal finances. Start by considering your personal needs, such as bills, goals, and intentions. Think about your monthly expenses, retirement savings, and emergency fund. Then, factor in your business's revenue, expenses, net income, and other financial obligations, such as taxes, debt payments, and investments. Don't forget to pay yourself! There's no magic number, but make sure you have enough to cover all your expenses and reach your goals.

Before you invest in growth initiatives, such as a new space or branding, make sure you've saved for taxes. You don't want to be surprised by a big bill at the end of the year. The key is to plan for everything.

Financial Planning and Risk Tolerance

Yuli Ziv: As an entrepreneur, I've taken big risks with many of my businesses. For me, what worked was to expand my businesses before I was fully ready, and then push myself to achieve my goals. The urgency of the situation motivated me to do whatever it took to generate revenue and get creative with my revenue channels. This approach worked well for me, but it's not for everyone.

Ruchi Pinniger: Risk tolerance is an individual thing. What worked for you may not work for others. Some people may feel stifled and stuck, unable to take risks because they are constantly stressed and filled with negative thoughts.

This is an exercise for you to reflect on your own risk tolerance. How comfortable are you with taking risks without having the money in place to cover them in the very short term? Everyone's situation is different. Some people may have large personal savings and are willing to tap into them, while others may have responsibilities to their families and need a certain amount of money to cover their basic expenses.

There is no judgment here. Everyone is different, and that's okay. My advice is to plan ahead and create separate bank accounts. Have one for your regular operating expenses, one for tax savings, and one for growth, expansion, and emergencies. Think about your goals and start to build that fund so that the money is there when you need it.

Seeing those bank accounts grow and knowing that you have a financial cushion will give you peace of mind and positive energy. This will carry over into all aspects of your life, including your relationships, physical environment, work, and how you show up for your healing clients.

Finding Fulfillment Through Personal Growth

Yuli Ziv: How did you come from Wall Street to this beautiful place and found this energy flow?

Ruchi Pinniger: I spent many years in my career wondering, "What more is there?" I knew I wanted to help people, but I was completely lost. I had a traditional corporate career and education, climbed the corporate ladder, got paid, got promoted, and built a team. But I never felt fulfilled, unless I was doing something else, like working in our mentorship programs or Women's Network.

I finally had the opportunity to make a choice: do I want to go back into corporate, or what do I want to do? My first coach outside of corporate gave me this beautiful piece of advice that I'll never forget: "Be open to the gifts and messages from the universe, and you will find your way." I heard her, I listened, and that's exactly what I did.

That's when I started to hear from all of these beautiful people in business who were sharing stories about how hard it is, how they're not good with numbers, etc. I had an “Aha!” moment. I realized that I could help these people.

In fact, one of my very good friends, a healer in business, was one of those people who would say, "It's so hard. I'm so bad at money." She had been in business for 15 years, but she had hardly raised her rates. She wasn't even sure what she was making or spending. Everything was done on an envelope.

I said to her, "Let me help you." I started going into her office and we looked at what was going on. We looked at her income, expenses, processes, and rates. We increased her rates and got her on an accounting system. After a few months, she literally said to me, "I feel like I fell in love with my business again."

To anyone listening who is not yet a healer but knows that they have healing capability and is trying to find their way, I want you to know it’s possible. You don't have to know it all. Just be open to the messages, be open, and trust yourself. Something beautiful can come out of that.
